Catering Event Service Manager
This Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza hotel is looking for a Catering Event Service Manager who is passionate about making every experience here unique, positive, successful and inspiring.
Work closely with client after booking to develop good working relationship, including letter of introduction, meeting planner materials, prompt response to calls and requests.
Maintain professionalism in problem situations.
Maintain detailed records of discussions with guest, including room accommodations, all meeting setups, food and beverage, transportation, etc.
Greet client upon arrival.
Facilitate and communicate details related to catering functions to management.
Upsell to improve revenue generation on property.
Be readily available during functions for consultation with client.
Flexible schedule required to accommodate client needs.
Preside at conference planning meetings where details related to group coordination will be discussed and reviewed by management.
Participate in site reviews.
Conduct exit interviews with clients to solidify repeat business and distribute results.
Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget.
Respond and resolve guest requests, complaints, or questions in a courteous and timely manner.
Minimum of 2 years Catering experience required.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
Must have exceptional mathematical and computer skills.
High school education, relevant training and experience required. Additional education preferred.
Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
CPR training required; first aid training preferred.
